The first Annual Isra Obs & Gynae Symposium was organised by Prof. Aftab A. Munir (Convenor) and Dr. Nishat Zohra (Secretary) and was held at Isra University Campus Hyderabad. It was attended by hundreds of delegates and eminent speakers from all over the country.
The cheif guest of the event was Prof. Dr. Asadullah Kazi. Amogst the guest speakers were Prof. Noorjahan Samad, Prof. Shahida Zaidi, Prof. Sher Shah Syed, Prof. Roshan Ara Kazi, Prof. Shireen Bhutta, Prof. Amna Memon, Prof. Shaista Farooq, Prof. Shaheen Zafar, Dr. Razia Korejo, Dr. Syed Hussain Ali Shah, Dr. Rubina Suhail, Dr. Khairunisa Nizam and many others. This symposium was appreciated by all the participants.

Isra University through its Chancellor Prof. Ghulamqadir Kazi, entered into an agreement with the Government of Sindh for control of the  Tuberculosis through DOTs program. A Memoran-dum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Secretary Health Sindh and representative of Isra University on Feb 28, 2006 with the object of complementing mutual efforts and creating liaison both at the planning and implementation level during conduct of TB control program in province of Sindh.
The selection of Isra University, to be the strategic partner of the Government of Sindh in providing vital service to community, is a unique honor.
