Isra Eye Camps International

Regular eye camps are conducted in different parts of Asia and Africa every year. We have visited 35 countries spreading between pacific ocean on the east and atlantic ocean on the west. Many countries are visited more than once. They are shown in the attached table and map.

Facilities & Services
The facility includes a Mobile Operation Theater loaded with microscope and other surgical equipment. The duration of the eye camps at each location is about one week. It attracts mainly poor people, from nearby as well as far-flung areas. All services are provided free of charge. Each camp, on the average provides medical treatment to 3,000 people and surgical treatment (restoration of vision) to approximately 300 individuals.

Employment & Budget
Temporary employment is provided to around 100 persons in each camp. The budget of each camp including tickets, cargo, lodging boarding, medical and surgical consumables, and total logistic cost is around $ 40,000. This is raised by overseas philanthropists. However, all logistic and manpower is arranged by Al-Ibrahim Eye Hospital ( I.E.H).
